mr ram was so right. he told me that coming up with a blog is useful and now indeed it is. i have been reading my past few posts and realise that it really helps me consolidate experiences and everything.

somethings are really helpful: it's not how good you are but how bad you want it.

In a 4.5km race, the 1st km is the make or break. If you go too fast, you have committed suicide, if you go too slow, you spend a hard time catching the guys up ahead. The 3rd km is the pain. you start to feel tired and pain and your body is being exhausted and tested. the 4th km is the true pain. it is a matter of how strong you are mentally, how prepared you are, how much foundation there is inside you, how much faith you have. More importantly, it is about how badly you do not want to disappoint, who you are running for, how badly you want to kill the person in front, how badly you want to fight for your team.

in the last km, you dedicate your effort to a lot of people. to your coach who groomed you, to your teammates who suffered the worst hell with you, to your friends who are supporting you, to the school you run for. it is not about putting in your best anymore, it is about how much more than your best can you produce.

pain is temporary people, but the glory of being a hwachong xcountry runner is ethernal. the bragging rights of telling people you run in the thousands of kms, the pride when you tell people that you are not just a runner, but a hwachong runner. a runner tested to his extreme, a runner who went through the most insane and absurd trainings.

let's go guys. 6 days.
